FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT
Football skills, physical fitness and personal development for a holistic player.
Our Approach
Through football, leadership, and financial trainings, RV United supports the development of life skills that enable young women to make healthy choices. The club currently consists of three divisions, including Senior SASOL and Junior Development teams, with 60 adolescent girls and young women between the ages of 10 and 35.
Senior SASOL Team: Competes in the SASOL league, the highest women’s league in South Africa, with a complementary focus on financial literacy, work placement, tutoring and mentoring the younger RV United teams.
Junior Development Team: South Africa does not have a formal league for Juniors, so young players train and compete against boys, with a focus on education and staying in school.
Club Philosophy & Style of Play
RV United provides a football and team environment for adolescent girls and young women that creates a sense of connection and purpose. This leads to self-reliant, skilled, and confident players who think and communicate for themselves on the pitch and in life.
RV United teams play an attacking and expressive game that celebrates the natural skill and creativity of players. We develop multi-functional, technical and intelligent players who, in moments of the game, play with individual flair and artistry.
