Wellness & Life Skills

Created in response to local demand, RV United gives adolescent girls positive role models, encourages physical health, builds self-esteem and challenges harmful gender norms. Participation  enables girls and young women to enjoy freedom of expression and movement, which empowers them with the right and responsibility to create active, healthy lifestyles to enable and sustain life choices.

Academic Enrichment

Sport is an essential tool for social empowerment, and RV United takes a holistic approach to player development. Not only do Senior RV players coach younger female players in football and life skills, they also focus on academic tutoring, monitoring school performance and teaching the soft skills to needed to succeed in school and life.

Economic Empowerment

RV United provides leadership training and financial education for Senior players, including SAFA D and C Licenses, First Aid, introduction to entrepreneurship and more. To fundraise for the team's matches and community development activities, RV has a partnership with Ragball International to make and sell artisan soccer balls from recycled materials.
